Default Just installed gwx!!

Just wanted to say what a good mod gwx is. Really put together well. The game should have come out of the box like this. Got myself a new card (Radeon 1650 pro) .. jumped wattage up on computer to 350 and away we go.(I hope the added wattage will prevent some crashes. I was getting Silent hunter has experienced a problem and will need to shut down every once in awhile. The wattage on my computer was 160 watts. I used to have the radeon 800xl.) I like the added harbor traffic in port but havent gone into enemy ports yet. I should have downloaded this mod months ago. I highly recommend it to anyone still using vanilla with 1.4 patch.
I do need to download my old german songs though. I just dont understand the music selection on the mod. You would think that the crew on the German subs would have listened to german not American music.
Again great job on the mod fellow Kaleuns!!

You're really gonna enjoy GWX. You'll get hammered, splattered, banged, and generally messed up every time you go out. Eventually your crew will be vomiting with terror as you pull away from the docks in Kiel because they know it's only a matter of time before that DD out there (or that plane diving out of the sun) hammers the final nail in your iron coffin.

One of the most awesome mods I've ever seen. "Fear" isn't just hyperbole with GWX...it's a cold sweat reality.

Hi!

Our research indicated U-boat crews listened to all sorts of music - American jazz was reportedly popular although that music was officially banned in Germany at the time. Let's just say the team was inspired by the score of Das Boot and put in an eclectic set of music to reflect the movie. You are of course free (and encouraged) to season the gramophone selection to your own taste.

I was unable to run SH3 for eight long, long months (computer crash) so when I got this new machine a week or so back and got back into the game, I took the advice of many and went straight into GWX. Since then I've been looking for the "praise GWX" thread between sessions, but was always too tired to look hard! I sincerely hope that the GWX team members and all their wives, girlfriends, helpers, contributors and general supporters continue to receive unbounded praise from each new Kaleun who installs their amazing mod. There really ought to be some new word other than mod to describe this incredible piece of work, it doesn't simply add to an existing game or improve an existing game in some minor way - GWX makes SH3 an entirely new experience. I work from home, so am in the nice position of being able to dive back into SH3 (pun intentional) whenever I feel inclined to, so the developers are to blame for me being so far behind with my REAL work! If you don't have GWX installed, do it now. Right now. It'll astound you whilst scaring the c**p out of you at the same time! GWX team? You have my total admiration.

Yes the GWX mod is the one of the reasons people have held off SH4 or come back. It just takes the game to the next level and make it what all gamers desire, A great game made even better!

I remember whne it came out. I think the rush to download crashed the Filefront website due to the traffic. It also set records for traffic in the forum.

After playing Vallina SH3 for so long and then switching to GWX, I realized that I should have come over sooner.

Enjoy the mod, as it's one of the best out there.
