Default A funny thing happened to me the other day...

So I was attacking a convoy, and had depleted all the bow tubes.

I turned a bit and then fired off my stern tube at a last merchant before diving away.

Suddently, way before the impact was due, there was a torpedo explosion from the stern torpedo!

I hopped to an external view just in time to see that my torpedo had slammed into an escort that was bearing down on me!

And in fact, it sank, going down right on top of the rear portion of my sub, helping push us down into the deep as it went!

Pretty wierd!

Strangely, I've always wanted to get pulled down under a sinking ship. Often when I've torpedoed a merchant and it's starting to go under, I'll take a risk and do a flank dive under it, with the background hope that it will collapse on me and suck me down. Something about tumbling down to like 400m, then ballasting out and flanking back up to the surface, is really appealing. I guess I just don't get sunk often enough.

Do the Scapa Flow run in '42 and trail as many DD's as you can out into deep water and you will learn quickly
