IL-2 FB DCG question

I downloaded the DCG from the Lowengrin website but am having so many problems.

My game is IL-2 FB fully patched to 1.22.

No mods at all. I try running the DCG according to insturctions but when loading a mission it throws upand error about this missing file or that missing file.

I can't get my registration on their forum authorised even when I e-mail the admin.

Can some one pelase help me.

I'll post my error messages later but usually it is a loadout not existing for a particular aircraft etc.

I remember having similar problems too. IIRC, you had to either delete something or download something. I'll check the forums and I'll be right back.

Ok, here's something to check. Go to the folder of the new campaign (generated after you first try to start it and it gives you the error), which can be found in missions-> choose country-> and there you should see the campaign folder (for example my BoB campaing folder is named 'DGen_Y_Britain40doe0'). Go to the folder and look for a file called 'squadrons.dcg', open it with notepad and see if the first squadron in the list is named 'Player Squadron'/'Player', if it is, delete that squadron -> save the file and try the campaign again.

The one in the IL2 directory. The player squadron thing might have been fixed in the version you have, but wont hurt to check it.

It's .dcg not .cfg

Could you post the error message that it gives you? Should help to track the problem down.

What I am going to do is uninstall IL-2, reinstall and patch to latest patch and then uses DCG.

Ok, mate. Hope it works. I am sure I've missed something here as IIRC I had some other problems too, just cant remember what it was.

What I'm trying to do is fly the GReat Patriotic War Campaign from Lowengrin. Now I have only IL-2FB and it strongly recommends PF whatever version. Could that have something to do with why that campaign won't work?

If the campaign requires PF, of course you cant play it with FB, it might use some plane that doesnt have cockpit in it in FB.

Also, have you selected the correct version of your game from "Files->Set game version" in IL2DCG? That way the IL2DCG wont use planes that arent available in FB.

I have done all that, IL-2 FB 1.22

Guess I'll have to keep trying.

You're going to have a helluva lot of problems trying to find 1.22 compatible campaigns/missions. My suggestion is that you go out and get the "IL2-1946" pack, it includes Forgotten Battles, Ace's Expansion Pack, Pacific Fighters, PE-2 Peshka, Sturmoviks over Manchuria and 1946. All you need to get then is the (free) patch 4.08.
You can find the IL2-1946 pack for ~$20.
