I know, "reality" is the big craze with SH3, everyone makes mods that try to make things more realistic. Ok, I can understand that.
But suppose you want to try a "what if" scenario? Like "What if" the Type XXI was available earlier than it was historically? Can someone tell me how to do this? HOW to make the XXI available earlier? Thank you.

Al, one of the neat things about SHIII is that many of the parameters of the game can be changed in the .cfg files. you can view these using notepad and tweak the numbers. However, if you look in the mod forum, you can find very simple mods that let you adjust these things while backing up originals and not majorly screwing anything up. You can tweak all kinds of stuff!
you wouldn't believe what happens if you set your submerged speed to 100 knots, patricularly if you are firing torpedoes that only go 30 kts... ![]() |

If you search extensively, you might find an "alternative timeline" mod, called Victory Mod. It´s an interesting scenario, with a very nice readme. Tell me if you don´t find it or the link is dead. I might have it somewhere in my HD to upload it for you. Von |
