Default ASW Info link for history buffs...

One of the best sites I have found for US ASW weapons and electronics is:

www.de220.com

Look at the links at the bottom of the home page. Hope you enjoy!

Cheers!!

Thank You for the responses!

As far as Japanese equivalent, if you look at early war/1st generation electronics of the US, you are pretty close to what the Japanese had to work with. I have read that a VERY Few vessels were equipped with better sonar and radar (supplied by the Germans) but they never had anything to compare with 10cm radar, 147 Sword Sonar or hedgehog. At least to my knowledge which is not always as extensive as I'd like to think it is .

well i now that the japanes had ASDIC type sonar at the start of the war, and that this corte the US sub skippers totaly off-gard and that thay did have centermetric wave radar (the Mark 2 model 2 10cm SS radar enterd servise just in time for Midway) for more info on sush i can highly recommend Louis Brown's http://www.amazon.co.uk/Radar-Histor...e=UTF8&s=books
