Default Aft Tubes

Ok I search this site with no luck. And the wiki is down.

SO what exactly are these? Are they torpedos that you fire behind you in an emergency or something?

Torpedo tubes in the aft part of the ship or back. Yes they fire from behind you so at about 180 degrees. Not neccessarily in an emergency situation. In fact, yesterday i popped up in the middle of a convoy (with some serious fog) and fired my front torpedos at a tanker in front of me and and my rear at a cargo behind me.

Remember the blind spot for most ships, including subs is directly behind you, your propeller blocks out a lot of noise directly behind you, so it's not a bad idea to have a torpedo tube in the back for that scenerio.

They are just like forward tubes but face to the aft of the submarine.

I wasn't sure they could actually be fired from the back or not. I though it might just be another place for reserves. Thanks guys! Helpful as always.

Default aft tubes

You shouldn't fire your aft tubes in polite company, espicially in church.
If you do you should say "Excuse me".
