Default Flip that sub

BdU in its wisdom decided to dispatch me to AN14 right between the Shetland and Orkney islands in my little Type II.

U-24 spent most of the first day diving to avoid Swordfish patrol planes and at one time got straddled by bombs in mid-dive.

I was surprised to see my boat literally flip over on its top for a moment before righting itself and limping away with heavy damage.

Now I survived, but correct me if im wrong wouldn't the "flip" have completely flooded my saddle tanks and sent me straight to the bottom? I thought the lower edges were open to sea.

Maybe it lived because the 'flip' was so rapid?
