Ahoy!
Are there any recommended settings for the Options File Editor Viewer? A link to something perhaps?

The options we choose are personal preference. One thing that's probably helpful to use the options editor to do is turn on all the map options on so they're on permanently instead of having to turn them all on manually every time you play. Those options are in the TAI Options and NavMap Options tabs. Don't forget that you can't have both 'Show Map Coordinates' and 'Tactical Map' on at the same time, the game only allows one or the other to be on.

Another thing that's helpful is to create your own save so you can preserve your personal preferences. When you save our own we need to use the 'Open...'(3 dots) selection to open it if we want to edit it.

A third suggestion is to backup TDW's (The Dark Wraith's) options file somewhere else in case you accidentally change it. The open selection without the dots opens a different directory that only has TDW's backup file in it.
