Default For Those of You May Be Thinking of Not Voting...

If he can do vote, so can you:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/nation...bc7_story.html

Those of you who still won't vote, shame on you...

This veteran died not long after casting his vote and a question arose of whether his vote should be counted:

http://www.theatlanticwire.com/polit...counted/58194/

And anyone who tries to invalidate his vote, the highest shame on you...

People should only vote if they have the knowledge to do so.For example, if you can't tell me what keynesian economics is vs supply side in reasonable detail, stay home.Unfortunately, a large number of people can not.I was arguing with a room full of libs before the last debate, all of which hold bachelors degrees, all of which are in law school with me, yet many really could not comment on keynesian economics and why they never, ever work, ever. Amazes me what little so many voters actually know because if they did, there is no way they would vote for obama knowing he continues to pursue a failed course due to his ideology.

People should vote because it is their right, Bubblehead. Whether you appove of their decision or rationale is irrelevant.

Oh, don't be too hard on young Bubblehead. From the looks of things, he just discovered Keynes and is trying to impress us with that fact.

Yeah, maybe you're right...

After all, one day he may accidentally stumble upon logic, reason, and discernment and give them equal enthusiasm...

...nah, that's probably hoping for too much...

I suppose it's an improvement over using only the old list of magic words. Of course the better option would be burning the list in the first place, but...

On topic, what Takeda said. While I have occasionally also been critical on what some people base their voting on (in our last presidential elections it was an argument for and against one candidate that he happened to be homosexual), I agree that it's still their right. Some would even say duty.

I should have noticed that months ago. It's what happens with all college students: They discover something new, whether it's politics, psychology, art, or sports, and it becomes their god. Of course they can't see that the people they label "idiots" are exactly like them. They just discovered a different god.

Amen to this; the worst were the Psych students who, after Psych 101, would go around "psycho-analyzing" everyone else around them for days on end...

Not much point in me voting. Utah has six Electoral Votes this year, and the states pretty much go all-or-nothing, and Utah is solidly Republican. If I want Romney I win automatically, because Utah will go Republican. If I want Obama I lose automatically, because Utah will go Republican. If I write in someone else I not only lose, I get accused of stealing votes from one candidate or the other. What's the point?

Don't get me wrong, though. That won't stop me.

I know what you mean. Here in California, the GOP political esatblihment has gone financially bankrupt due to funds flowing away from them and into the PACs and Super-PACs. California has, for all puposes, been conceded to the Dems and will go heavily for Obama. I haven't even seen a presidential campaign ad on TV much less any GOP flyers in my mailbox. Actually, I'm still wavering on which way I will vote. I was in the same position 4 years ago until the GOP screwed themselves by making Palin the GOP VP candidate. I still want to know the full specifics of Romeny's economic plan. If it seems as if the country will go back to the deeply flawed economic polices that GWB had, then I'm not voting for Romney. So far, I've heard or seen very little in the way of specifics; "full transparency", indeed...

Amen to that. As I keep saying since long time: voting is not so much a right - that is just a formal framework; in the first it is a skill that needs to be achieved, needs to be learned and trained. That is true for many other decision-making processes, btw, from a psychological POV. Voting decisions made by habit or hear-say, are helping in the erosion of basic ideas behind democracy. You could as well ask people to flip a coin then, that would have not more and not less value.

In other words, like with opinions, it is not the vote you cast or the opinion you have that makes it already precious or important in itself, but whether or not you can found it by factual information and reasoning. That'S why I do not appreciate and value just any opinion on the mere and only basis that somebody happens to have it. I look at if he can give reasons for it, and what these reasons are. Only then I maybe can respect even an opinion that I do not share. But never just because it is there! That would be stupid.

However, and this might be where we start to disagree probably, I keep on saying: don'T vote. Boycott elections. Help to bring down the turnout so that those hidden elites in the background profiting from the system's rules and pulling the string in reality can no longer hide behind it. It does not matter which party or candidate you vote for - you legitimise the system itself which will stay, no matter your vote, and that system runs by corrupted rules and plays a cheated match.

You get manipulated. Do not fall for it.

In this SF movie "The Island", 2005, there is this population believing in this lottery they have, that chooses the happy daily winner to escape life in the boring subterranean complex they all live in, and spend the rest of his life in a paradise. But the paradiuse doe snot exist. In reality they all are clones, bred as living organ banks, and when the lottery chooses them to go to the happy island, in fact they get killed and their organs removed.

Do not fall for the illusions you are being told. Those you elect, anyway think you are just stupid, and all time long you prove them to be correct. You fall for their slogans, you legitimise them in their functions although you know they will corrupt things even more, and tailor the syytem more in favour of their monetarian and idelogical missions. Just listen to them while they tlak to you when they want somethign from you, and you can hear it in every senmetence how stupoid and dull they think you are. They do so, becaseu they get away with it, and they know it. Maybe you are no living organbanks still(although considering the events and media campaigns about organ donors in Germany one could start thinking politically very incorrect thoughts here...). But you are working drones for the few and their material as well as their ideological demands. And they keep alive this illusion of elections as a relief valve for pressure that otherwise might turn into an uprise against the cheated rules of the game. Whatever it was our forefathers suffered for and fought over to overcome aristocracy and theocracy and tyrannic regimes - the betrayal that we have today is what it was not about. This it is not...!

Don't vote. Nur die dümmsten Kälber wählen sich ihre Metzger selber.

Never trust bot translators!

More like this:

Only the most stupid of stupid calves choose their butchers themselves, voluntarily.

The rhyming is lost, but I cannot help it.

Or is that bot translation correct? I admit I do not understand it in full.
