So once the u-boat gets the nice 360-degree spinning radar antenna up on the bridge, I'm guessing it didn't put out enough power to cook the bridge crew? Or did it help keep them warm when it was cold out?

Unless it's high on the periscope mast as with the US subs.
There is a radiation gap North and South of the antenna, but reflections are still bad!! |
