Pedophilia is Hollywood's Biggest Problem

So says Corey Feldman:

According to one of the biggest child actors of the late 70s and 80s, Hollywood is full of pedophiles who prey on children. Corey Feldman says that both he and the late Corey Haims were sexually abused by major figures in Hollywood.
According to Feldman, the same group of people that has made a cottage industry of vilifying Catholic priests is harboring huge amounts of pedophiles.

Corey Feldman sat down for an interview with ABC's "Nightline" on Wednesday and revealed that he had to deal with pedophiles in the entertainment industry as a child star.

"The number one problem in Hollywood was, is and always will be pedophilia. It's all done under the radar... But it's the big secret," he said, adding that he was "literally surrounded" by pedophiles at the age of 14 but didn't realize "until I was much older what they were and what they wanted."

Feldman went on to blame Corey Haim's death on the abuse suffered at the hands of one particular "Hollywood mogul," who he refused to name. "There was a circle of older men that surrounded themselves around this group of kids," he said. "They all had either their own power, or connections to great power in the entertainment industry."

He concluded: "There's a lot of good people in this industry, but there's also a lot of really, really sick, corrupt people in this industry. There are people who have gotten away with [pedophilia] for so long that they feel that they're above the law. And that's gotta change. That's gotta stop."

While I don't what he's saying is probably true in that rotten industry.

Did he stick kis neck out and name, names, dates, times and places ?

Did he call out a plea to other former child stars to step forward ?

Or did he come out for some fresh publicity for a sagging career. Me thinks sadly

Connie Fletcher wrote a nice book "what cops know" It is a fascinating read. What is chilling is the chapter about sex crimes and pedophilia in particular. According to the cops she interviewed, they said that everyone knows a person who is a pedophile. It is that rampant.

This hit home pretty hard when we found that my father's business partner and best friend for 30+ years is now in a NY prison for being a pedophile.

This man was the arch typical "American business man". There was nothing in his mannerisms that would have indicated anything like this. As kids we were over at this house plenty of times and there was not a hint. Nothing. Nada.

There was no way I could ever imagine this man sexually abusing children. But the evidence at his trial was incontrovertible and he plead guilty. My father still can't discuss this with us. It was his best friend for 30+ years. It tore him apart.

I am sure his was not an unusual case. According to Flether's book, it is rather common.

So I don't know if Hollywood is more or less prone for pedophiles than any other large city. It just may be more visible. Or it can fit some people's agenda to isolate Hollywood. As a kid I was raped while attending a day camp in upper state New York, hardly the big city. And I was not the only one in the camp being molested.

It happens a lot, it has always happened a lot. Unfortunately it is one of the more under-reported crimes. Which makes it all the more tragic.

Hmmmm, I seem to recall The Coreys spending alot of time with Michael Jackson at that age. Feldman even emmulated him for a time.

But, Michael was never a pedophile, was he?

Honestly I doubt Micheal Jackson was one. He did, however, make the perfect target to be accused of being one (liking kids, very odd and eccentric behavior, wealthy). Frankly I think he was just trying to relive the childhood he himself never had, which explains most of his behavior.

Three weeks ago an old boss of mine that owned Padonia Park Club in Maryland was arrested for child porn on his computer. Apparently watching the crap for five years. The FBI was involved. This guy owned/operated a public pool facility with a daycare. The FBI searched for hidden cameras and peep holes in the dressing rooms. I worked for the guy in my teenage years. He was an oddball then but this news takes the cake. Apparently some of the child porn consisted of kids younger then 10. Sick really. He is serving 18 months.

Just like other things obviously a percentage of the population are pedophiles actually the modern world exposes them rather well (PC use) so I think they get exposed more often than they did in the past which is a good thing.

Anyone ever see that "To Catch a Predator" show? What a bunch of creeps man they show up at a house to have sex with what they think is an under age girl and the stories they come with to explain why they where there.

They showed one in Palm Coast Fl and guys where driving all the way from Miami which is well over 200 miles away.

I saw one and the guy was 24 or so he thought he was going to see a 13 year old girl and He was saying "No way man I get women bro I dont need a 13 year old girl"... so why the hell did you chat online with a person you thought was 13 years old arrange to go to her house and have sex with her and then you show up?

There was another one they where some place in Ca and a Doctor showed up this fellow was head of a freaking childrens hospital he walked out as soon as he realized what was actually happening and threw his sun glasses like some punk when the cops came up to him.Some guys I have heard call that type of sting entrapment but why in the hell are you talking to an underage girl about having sex with her in the first place?If you show up for such an arrangement and it is a sting you deserve to get bracelets you should not even be talking about such things in the first place.
