Default Just a Simple Thank You to the Modders

Morning all:

I have been playing this series since SH3, and am contimually amazed at the level of mods offered by the talented people on this forum.

You made everyone of the games in the series something special.

I have been reading some of the posts with opposing opinions regarding SH5, but for my two cents, I was excited about it when it was announced.

In all honesty, I played the bootlegged version for a couple months before buying the game.

Had it not been for the mods, it would have been disappointing, but I truly think it is the zenith of the series, anything else will be just backwash.

From the beauty of the graphics, the sound mods, the crew, the interior, all the music, you all have taken this to a finished level that makes it wonderful to play.

Combine this with being able to walk around the boat, interface with the crew, and one can really get a sense for what these brave men went through in the service of their country.

I have a blast watching the torps load, listening to my guys getting all riled up, seeing new things every mission.

Had it not been for you all, what a disappointment this would have been.

I have no idea what other mods are coming, but if another one never pops up, you have made this game a joy.

Thanks

Sometimes, i feel "thank you" is not enough. But nevertheless, thank you.

It took about three to four years into making SH3 a very enjoyable game, thanks to GWX legendary mod. With SH5 we have sailed barely a year and look what it is today. How will it look in the future one wonder?

Everything is all thanks to the modders. I was an inch from throwing this to the dirt when playing the first, un-patched version, when everything was a mess. The ship was impossible to steer, the interface looked like a bad interpretion of World of Warcraft, the AI was stupid and didn´t attacked. And now this. I have no doubt this will be the Optimal Primus in the genre.

You, the modders, are the heroes.

Only reason i ordered it the other day was the same thing that happened when sh4 was released thought it sucked at first and then came TMO and it became one of the best sims ive played. Hoping one day someone will make a supemod like gwx or tmo for this and i will be happy

Good call Husker, it's as good a time as any to give a friendly community thanks to all the modders. I would have gotten over the novelty of the new stuff in SH5 after a few weeks and not wanted to continue to play had it not been for the modders.

I must add a disclaimer: This in no way reflects a negative opinion of the developers. I believe from the level of devotion they put into SH5 that they would have continued support of their product if their business situation permitted it. Thank you developers for giving us the foundation of what may become the best WW2 u-boat sim of all time.

For all the modders (sh3 & SH4 included) : and many thanks !

My opinion about UBI's behavior (SH4 included):

@UBI Soft : leave or sell future SH series developpement to a less money-lover staff.

Here Here!!!
The modders have been the life blood of the Silent Hunter series.

Without the mod builders there is no way I could enjoy SH5.

Like the man said " I only drive them , I don't know how to make them go"

Thank you
