Default Coloured map contacts

Hi!

I'm playing with Trigger Maru Mod, but I would like to use the original coloured map markings of ships (green, red...) How can I replace the markings with the original ones?

Thanks

This is how it's explained in the TMO FAQ....

4.) How do i get back "tails" and sensor information on the navigation map?

Disable TMO, and delete the following two files:
\Data\Menu\gui\ContLine.dds
\Data\Menu\gui\DashLine.dds

5.) How do i get back the ship sillouttes on the contact map?

Go to the /data/sea directory in TMO. There you will find about 98 subdirectories, one for each ship in the game. Located in each one of these subdirectories is a DDS file. This file will be named whatever the ships name is _shp.dds (*_ship.dds). Delete each of these files from all subdiretories. Warning, not all ships are from the stock game, so deleting these particuar ships means they wont show up on the map at all. I recommend you play with the ship sillouttes as is. The idea is to cut down the amount of unrealistic information the stock Navagation map gives you, and to simulate markings that a tracking party member might have put down with a grease pencil.

I have to agree with the last sentence...stock has way too much info to be true to what was actually available.

Looks to me that seing a ugly dod black inc spot on a map is prety much unrealistic like the unrealistc ship markings... in that context I'm not sure what is worst... the black spot or the marking.

anyway is just one unrealistic game btw

the much easy ways is if you using JGSME , note all shillouete ship has been overwrites by mod and overwrite again in original folder mods.then you have original stock *.dds files.

Default EZ plot 1.0

If you do not mind black and white, EZ plot 1.0 works like a charm in TMO 2.0.

However, Njackso;s post and link are very interesting and would liven up the screen.
