Tonight starting at 8pm we have Secrets of the Dead: the battle of Stalingrad followed by two episodes of "Ground War".

Deadliest Battle
A thorough account of the fierce, seven-month Battle of Stalingrad, a bloody WWII conflict between German and Russian troops that resulted in more than a million casualties. Included: archival footage; information gleaned from the Russian archives.

Warrior Weapons
The examination of ground-war technological advancements begins with the evolution of soldiers, their weapons and body armor, from pre-gunpowder weaponry to automatic firearms. Also: possible future developments, including wearable exoskeletons.

Battlefield Mobility
The development of battlefield mobility, which includes maximizing effectiveness and protection. The documentary highlights the chariot; the use of stirrups and horse breeding, which led the way to the mounted knight; and the advancement of tanks.
