Default Damage, herr kaleun!! damage!!

Hi guys,

I'm fed up to the back teeth with the aspect of damage in SHIII.

Here are my mods:

GWX 3.0 Super Dooper Captain Birdseye meets Pugwash Edition
GWX - Enhanced Damage Effects
GWX - Integrated Orders
GWX - No Medals on Crew
GWX - Alternative Load Screen
GWX - Vondos Ships
Thomsens Ships 4.1
EDE-LRT 2.04 full patch
Integrated Orders LRT 2.04 Full Patch
Das Boot Clothes
Bearded Faces
Flags
DBSM for SH3

Now, my problem is, even with all these fantastic mods, my repair times are ludicrous. It took my chief 6 seconds to repair my aft torpedo room during a depth charge attack.

So can someone perhaps recommend a different damage mod that actually works? Also, I saw a link to Thomsens No Instant Death Screen. Does anyone know where I can get the GWX 3.0 version?

Danke!!

Do you have the LRT mod enabled? I see the patches for it, but not the actual mod itself.

As for Thomsen's NID mod, check www.silenthuntermods.com/forum, and under the 'Silent Hunter 3 - Mods' section look for Philipp Thomsen's mod thread. Latest version is 1.3, which should work with GWX3. Be warned, a direct hit from an ashcan will swamp your boat instantly!

Hmmm, well if it's installed then I have no idea why you still have stock repair times.

I think you should run LRT without GWX - Enhanced Damage effects,
but i'm not sure, i have my own Damage settings modded.

I run LRT, RB's SH4 effects, Thomsens ships, Community units, Freecam and others in my sig but that wasn't possible without a lot of merging files due to conflicts. I spent a long time getting them to work together so pay close attention to any conflicts JSGME reports when you enable them, it may just be a case of changing the order. It is a bit of a dance....

I also had to disable GWX Enhanced damage effects, but that was more to do with RB's mod than anything else I believe.

the OLC mod makes repairs take a frustratingly realistic long time to complete.
