Does GWX support the following?

I was wondering if GWX supported a few useful/interesting things,such as -
- Is it possible to model the UBoat rocking while in free roam view?Would be nice to go the captain's bunk, switch a tune on,read a book or sup a cup of tea,all while experiencing the gentle rock,or chaos during a storm. Not to mention also adding to the realism, instead of a dead steady view.

- Is there any way whatsoever that GWX could model sleet or snow?,such as using the rain model as a base.I've always wanted this in my game

- I DID have a 3rd idea, but I have forgotten what it is.It will come back to me.In the meantime I would like to use this space to add further things as and when they arise.

Thanks.

Snow?

I remember someone looked into it and said it meant you also get snow on a rainy day in MID SUMMER. The game code never heard of precipitation being different in the seasons. It's one or the other, not both.

I knew there was a third question I had for you,how come the watch crew never automatically change into their wet weather gear?,forcing you to instead remove and then replace each member of the watch manually.Just gets a bit frustrating sometimes, and I appreciate the fact it is only a cosmetic concern and not critical to the actual gameplay, but still...

If there IS a mod out there I would really appreciate someone giving me the link to it.And would it be safe to use with GWX3G,and would the camera tilt be the same as in normal view mode?,synchronized with the sea I mean.

Again,thanks

What kind of a boat are you running here? You expect men to leave the bridge without being relieved while they are on watch? On my boat that's punishable by keelhauling.

The oilskins are kept in the conning tower. Crew on the bridge only go there when you tell them to.

Unless, of course, one uses SH3Cmdr to control the addition/removal of the files.

Snow could then be limited to season or even the Flotilla you're in.

You obviously dont understand me here.Did I say they would carelessly abandon their watch? no,I simply expected them to don their gear before surfacing into bad weather, you know, after regular dives to conduct sound checks for example.

Different story if the weather changes while they are already up there, maybe the men from below can hand them up to the bridge in that case.

The issue is more apparent after reloading a saved game,ie,if you had them put their wet gear on prior to saving, upon reloading they would be back in their dry gear.

Is that any clearer?

NOTE: I can assure you my UBoat is a very orderly and efficient UBoat ...most of the time.

You are right. (.... as if I can contradict your argument ) I thought about that after writing the post. But I was too tired to edit it.

They do. If your crew is in their regular uni's in bad weather, they will be in their raingear when you dive and re-surface.

I knew there was something nagging me.Is there a way to stop the slide out stopwatch when in views other than looking through the scopes? When I first played GWX3G I tried pressing the button on the top.Would be quite handy for timing,DC detonations,a crash dive,or a 200m dive for example. The list could go on.

Sorry, Paul, I guess I didn't understand you. The only time I have noticed crew not in proper weather gear was when the weather changed while the boat was on the surface. I haven't noticed a sub surfacing into bad weather and its bridge crew not wearing oilskins.
