Radio Messages - where to find them?

Hi, me again with another noobie question. Thanks for all the help so far. When on patrol, I sometimes get the "message received" message. Yet, when I go to the radio station, there is nothing for me to read.

This brings up a question. Why do I get contact reports on my nav chart without it coming through as a radio message? I don't see any messages like that either.

BTW, is there anything in the radio station that is clickable? Does any of that stuff do anything in the game?

Thanks

Pressing the "M" key will bring up your messages screen.

Icons of single units on the map do not come with a radio message. You can intercept them based on the rough speed and course given when you select the icon. But convoys do come with a radio message and with a copy of the information in the message bar. It too gives rough course direction, but comes with a reliable speed.

But if you only get a radiomessage without an icon on the map, you can ignore them as they are for immersion only. There is likely no actual unit there. The message is received just so you know there is a war going on. Most of them don't even have complete information to intercept anyway, like speed and course.

Contact reports will only appear for convoys and task forces. After you press the 'M' key, click on the message to display it. From the main message screen you can also send stasis reports and contact reports, contact reports may get you some air support if your in range of a friendly airbase.
