Default Brisbane Australia - Does it ever rain there?

I've never seen anything this powerful before. I guess the angle was just right to give them some great shots. I still can't decide if they guys filming it were incredibly brave or oblivious. If you think it's bad in the beginning, stick around, it gets better/worse.

Southern Queensland has had some terrible storms in the past few weeks. Not quite on the scale of the recent US Hurricanes, but not nice for those affected.

@Dowly, Come on over and I'll shout you a beer!

I don't know, looked like some pranksters trying to gain some attention using trick photography.

I knew the storms were powerful but damn, thats a wall of water if I ever saw one. Last Queensland storm I saw delayed my flight back to Melbourne by 1/2 an hour, managed to get out in a break between heavy downpours. Bumpy trip out too

At 2:45 you can see the shadow of someone standing on the roof with a garden hose.

You imagination needs to see an optometrist.

That particular area of Brisbane, home to one of my parents and both my daughters, suffered an incredible amount of damage, with very little loss of life. The street that video was taken in was wiped out by the third storm of that week. (1-Sunday, 2-Wed and 3-Fri?)

News report and photo gallery from the newspaper Courier Mail taken around the South East corner available here.

Oh it's real.

Hang on that was Neil Armstrong's stunt double from the faked moon landing films. Mr. Zapruder can you make sure we get the lighting right next time?:rotfl:

Try looking at the related video's and the dates they were all posted. I'd say the population of the city of Brisbane must have been in on the conspiracy to trick us into thinking the weather gets bad up there so they can enjoy the sunshine without us pale New South Welshmen bothering them.

TARJAK this is a conspiracey of grandest scale surpassing that of the NASA lunar landing. I don't know what they were trying pull but these guys are good, really good. Do you think they'll win a prize or something for this on a TV show?
