Default Argh! kernel.dll is *killing* me!

I don't know what gives here. I'd been making a few library file changes and testing them out when I started getting CTDs. So I undid the file changes. Still CTD. I copy and pasted kernel.dll from my main, untouched folder. Still CTD.

Any ideers what the heck is going on and how to fix it? I would have assumed copying kernel.dll from my main folder (where the game does still load and run) would have fixed any possible file corruption, but that doesn't seem to work.

Mmm... strange error, maybe a bad game installation with another more file corrupted.
Unistall the game (completely), then reinstall it. Probably a incompatibility installed mods:hmm:?

Depends on how your multi-install is setup.
If not done correctly a save in one install can whack other installs.
And if you randomly play with stuff without proper back-ups?
Expect this.
I usually run up to 10 installs (so far)
with each backed up to a external HDD for piece of mind.
(Not that it always helps!!)

Well, I only have seven different, complete installs, so you beat me there. :p

It's fixed; I just had to purge and replace the Data/Library info. It's my 'test bed' install, so I've expected (and planned for) the occassional crash-and-burn. I just haven't ever had it happen to me yet! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Back to ye old drawing board on some of this. Thankfully I've got archives of files and folders available for review as I start tinkering again.
