Default Recommended mods for SH4 v1.4?

Hey all, I abandoned Silent Hunter 4 shortly after release for various reasons and now I'm looking at coming into it more or less fresh, at version 1.4. Doing a clean install tonight, are there any mods/addons that are particularly recommended?

Thanks,
datter

You have some reading to do in the SH4 mods forums. All the mods are great, it is just what you like that counts.

That's right. It's time to install JGME and start mod twiddling.

I'd recommend the Trigger Maru mod, as long as you enjoy a challenge. I'd also recommend 2 others, the natural sinking mechanics and the Run Silent Run Deep campaign. All have been outstanding for me and have really enhanced my enjoyment of this already fine game.

Good hunting,
Howler

Am i doing this right?

JSMGE gives me this warning, i thought RSRDC is compatiable with TM - or shouldn't i worry about the warning and just enable the mod or do i need an RSRDC/TM update first? Meaning did i DL the wrong update:hmm:

You have the correct version(RSRDC_P1_TM_v118), but it gives those warnings because RSRDC changes a lot of the same files than TMaru. In this case it's ok to ignore that, and enable the mod
