I have just got SH3 with the GWX mod v1.03, no others.
My problem is this: I select a salvo of, say, three or four torps, set the depth and set the running speed to f'ast'. When I fire the first torp runs fast, as set, but the remaining ones all go as 'SLOW' so they invariably miss. Also related, I think. If I want to fire, singly, three or four torps at a target, to overcome the above problem, I can set the first and second torps to run fast but cannot set the others no matter what I do! They remain stubbornly at slow. This remains even after I've fired the first two torps; that is I still can't set them to run fast. Open to suggestions (remember the children!). |

Are they all T1s ?
Only steam torps can be set to different speeds Electrics are always slow speed |

I should have mentioned that I only had the dual speed torps G7a loaded.

I have had this happen to me only to later realize that the other torpedoes were electric and thus only capable of the slow speed so setting a spread and selecting fast will only change the speed setting on torpedoes that are capable of the higher speed setting.
try this: when I'm in port, I always go to the upgrade screen where you choose your torpedo load out. once im there i will load steam torpedoes in tubes one and four, and electric torpedoes in tubes two and three. (i rarely choose to use electric torpedoes in the bow tubes) This way when you are out at sea if you choose to spread shots one and four for example; you know that both torpedoes will be of the same type and thus have the same capabilities. also upon leaving port, i always set my pistols to impact, and set running speeds to fast long before i ever reach enemy waters. edit: dont figure out a firing solutiong only to then change running speed settings - you will miss by a fair margin... if you change torpedo speed after solution input you will have to adjust the solution to account for torpedo speed

I am not sure what the problem is. When I fire a salvo, I set each torpedo's speed and depth individually before I set the salvo mode.
This works for me.

Hmm, I have never encountered this. It's a bit strange.
Now, because I'm lazy ![]() I do remember that individual torpedo settings will not 'stick' if you move between stations/select different tubes. Wierd, nonetheless. ![]() Was it a clean install?

Thanks for all the replies. I'm only on my third patrol and have not changed the loadout so far. Nevertheless I'll check when next i'm in port, just to be sure.
I'll ruminate on the other suggestions. |

Perhaps the dev's just didn't implement it that way because it wouldn't model the historical TDC behaviour ? |
