Default BBC?

So there's a device, I definitely remember seeing it on the bridge, but I think it's below, too, that is labeled "BBC". What is that thing?

IIRC its the TV
So they can pick up programs around the English coast

It's a radio device.

It sounds an alarm if either John Snag or Alvar Lidell are approaching.

As far as I know, it stands for Brown Boveri & Co, an electrical company that made motors and such like, but what the case contained, I'm not sure

BBC stands for Brown Boveri & Cie (Mannheim) the developers/builders of the electric engine on the subs
