Have an interesting question I think!?

I had to do a photo mission at a port south west of Hirroshima about 70nm from it anyways there is a constant report about 1 ship, I think, sitting in a deep area near the port of course I wanted to investigate but there were mines and sub nets so I gave up! But does anyone know what the hell that ship was or is? Every time I am in that area it is there and a very, very bright red ship contact like there are a ton of them there in that one spot! I am in February of 1943 right now of the game.
