Default 1.2 Air radar not working at all

I've tried switching the on/off buttons and such.. it just doesn't work if I don't have a surface radar too. Well, I haven't tried with both yet anyway.

Going north or south.

Mod forum has cures for most SH4 ailments.

Default Same Here

I am getting the same with no air radar working after 1.2 patch. Everything else is great. Never had any problems with radar 1.0 or 1.1 (except detecting ships with air set!). No mods installed on fresh install of SH4, then put 1.2 on. Any hints would be great!

edit: no surface radar installed (early war - tambor class), but have air radar. Had multiple planes spotted - all by watch crew!

I have yet to pick up an A/c on my SD... no crew has reported it anyway, they always make it in to visual range, then its too late.

Dont have surface radar installed yet. i checked on the mod forums, and couldnt find anything there to fix it.

There are multiple threads about the sd radar, working-not working, fixed-not fixed ect. It's a bit confusing but I beleive that Ducimus/Jace11 and some others have it fixed...check the Flavored to Taste thread.

Mraah, Redwine, Jace11, Topcat and a few others have been working hard on it.

This is really pretty sad...I remember SHI. Nice 2D interfaces for both SJ and SD radars, very user friendly, and both (gasp!) worked perfectly.

Its too bad someone decided to reinvent the wheel, and make it triangular.:hmm:

Thanks to all the modders who are addressing this!

Mine not working anymore either. I was also given the SJ radar when I return to port to install the 1.2 patch. But after I patched, the SJ radar was gone and no longer available.

I realized my SD radar isnt working either. Every plane I saw ended up being spotted by crew and right up my ass by the time they saw them

This talk of radar is in nearly every message thread on this site going back weeks.
It's just too tedious to post in every new thread people create to go to the mods and grab the "Sensors_sub_US.sim" file and your radar will work fine.

There needs to be a radar fixed sticky so fewer people create a hundred new threads on this.

yes, but the problem USED to be that the air radar picked up ships.... NOW it picks up nothing, lol

The V1.1 file has the problem, SD pick-up ships, bad, but the SD works.

The v1.2 file... doenst works, no more air contatas, and all contact lost when your heading was between 090 and 270 !!!

Initially the solution was to use the v1.1 file... but this have some mised item from the v1.2, not sure if it can cause a crash when you update some equipment.
So it is an non thrusted solution.

But with the file above, we was able to recover the air contacts, and the contactas between 090 and 270.... and using the V1.2 file.

The only problem is the SD still catching surface ship contacts.

Not perfect, but solved the problems added by V1.2, and back us to the condition of v1.1, but using the correct file of the V1.2.

Not perfect... but is what we have :p

Please, participate of the discusion topic, a team job is needed.
