Boat Downgrades?

Not sure if its been posted before or not. I couldnt find an answer when I searched. Is it possible to remove upgrades? I am not happy with the engine supercharger. I have decided that Iwould prefer range over speed.

Upgrades are a one way street. The only way I know of getting rid of them on the same boat is to open the save before you add them.
