Crash to desktop when selecting auto surface cruise
This happened to me three times now in one week:
I sink a ship and give order to surface, at the same time I plot a new course. Then I go to crew management (F7). I wait foor de sub to surface (the conning tower and diesel room is manned and) then press the the button for automatic-crew-surface-cruise-mode. The screen turns black and Windows reports that Sh3 has crashed. ![]() Is anybody familiair with this? Can anything be done about it? |

The 'Auto Surface,Submerge,Attack' orders in the crew management screen have been buggy since release. These have never been fixed, in fact I don't think they can be.
We have all got used to not using them as they will, 90% of the time cause you to CTD. Do it the hard way, surface the boat and then move your crew manually. ![]() There are shortcuts for moving your crew around. IIRC, left click on a compartment/station then right click on the rest quarters or crew member and they/he will be moved instantly. (I think it's that way round ![]()

Stock problem, solution: don't use the crew management keys.

Basically I only use the repair button. That works ok. The others are hit or miss when it comes to working or CTD
