Audio setup IL-2 and Temspeak
What are the best audio settings?
when I am playing I can hardly hear what people are saying due to the sound of the engines through my speakers. since I have two output jacks, one in the back and the other in the front I wonder if I can put in another set of speakers for teamspeak chat only? |

That won't work, you can't split the audio from IL2 and TS.
The thing I do, is reduce the Audio volume in IL2 from the sound settings. You can also increase the audio volume of TS from within the settings tab. It's easiest to just drop the output volume of IL2.

probably of more importance is to go for the lowest quality codec you can put up with on the Teamspeak server, as there is generally a two or three second lag between you saying something and someone hearing it. Going for slightly worse quality will reduce this effect, which is obviously useful if you shout a warning to someone about a bandit on their ass!
