Default Remembering 9/11 and the many sacrifices of the first responders.

This September 11th, 2023 marks the 22nd anniversary of the destruction of the twin towers in New York, the attack on the Pentagon and on Flight 93 that went down in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

The loss of Innocent life aboard the doomed airliners and life lost in the twin towers and the Pentagon and Flight 93 is horrific. It may well be New York's finest hour with regards to it's first responders. The loss of life for the Police officers, Ambulance crews and especially the Fire Fighters is especially tragic. Many of those first responders knew their lives were in serious jeopardy or were going to be lost.

Their courage and bravery never wavered as they ran to the dangers confronting them, not away. Those first responders willingly gave their lives and for people they didn't know. It's not that it would have mattered to them anyway. For them, It was all in a day's work. They continued into the towers even as the towers were buckling. Even after the first tower collapsed, these first responders continued into the remaining tower in an effort to save lives.

Many others involved in the cleanup were exposed to toxic chemicals and fumes that have incapacitated those involved and continue to kill them. The events of 9 / 11 are still claiming lives and victims.

Jon Stewart is a comedian who hosted the daily show. Jon Stewart addressed Congress not to make them laugh but rather to fight for the benefits of those exposed to these dangerous chemicals and substances. I think Jon would have made a better policy maker than the ones in the hearing. Jon's impassioned arguments and pleas are incredible as is his eloquence and Intelligence. Notice Jon Isn't reading from a cue card. What he is saying comes from the heart.

Judge for yourself.

For our first responders, we will never forget. You will always have our eternal gratitude for all you are and were on that day and your sacrifices.
