bullhorn New subsim project idea

Hello Fellow Captains,

we have a new game idea to pitch for receiving valuable feedback.

It is a hardcore hybrid computer-boardgame WWII submarine simulator:
- a voice commanded computer game with minimum UI
- authentic 'hardware' maps, stopwatch, (USB connected) red light and clock, drawing compass, rulers, a book of ship pictures, and other necessary utilities

Gameplay
A Player must use hardware utilities for both navigation and targeting calculations and can issue a command through voice recognition.
For example: for navigation (s)he must have the last known position and course data from that point.
(S)he can draw courses and other calculations on erasable maps (like with Captain Sonar, but accurate real-world ones) using their clocks and rulers.

For sake of playability, some features should be 'mitigated' like the connected clock should follow the game clock for time compression.

For non-hardcore players, some support features should be provided (like automatic ship identification, position calibration in clear weather at night), but we would like to stick the user to the hardware tools.

Distribution/business model
The computer game part may be freely distributed and played with your tools. A retail package of authentic replica utilities should be monetized.

What is your opinion? What do you like about the idea? What should be improved significantly or do completely differently?
Would you try this game?
Would you pay for this game?

BR,
Balázs
