Merchant Fleet Mod Improved ships can only appear in Campaign Mode, unless you edit the individual single missions. Whenever there is a RANDOM entry for a merchant or tanker (like in campaign) there is a % chance that a given ship will be from the Merchant Fleet Mod. The Single Missions and Training Missions in Silent Hunter 3 only have SCRIPTED entries (game defines the exact type of merchant from the original ships that came in 2005, no random % chance of different modded ships).
