I'm curious about this one as well! I often don't get why people complain about $0.99 or $4.99 price tags with a phone which does cost about $500 and more...
Usually the kids nowadays pump out that amount in SMS every day.
It's an fascinating thing that this freemium (f2p, free to play, or how I name it: ****ed to pay) stuff is becoming more and more important. All in all the players pay more overall than for a fixed price game. Well oh well, we have to accept the rules of the market I guess....
