Not necessarily, they have updated the versions that sell on CD several times. Check your CD versions carefully.
A new major patch that also features addons will come in the next 3-5 months, I assume. but this will be - after several patches and several updates and 2 and a half year probably the first they will charge us for. If there are differences for latest customers, i do not know, it once was a rumour, long time ago.
