Default Tally Ho!

A couple of weeks ago I stumbled on a fascinating video series about an English boat builder who was turned on to a yacht built in 1907. Now rotting in a barn, Tally-Ho was right on the edge of being scrapped. Leo decided to see if he could salvage what was left and render the boat seaworthy again. His journey borders on deserving the title "Epic". A couple who believe in his vision have donated a huge workshop and a pickup truck to the cause. Several people from the North-Western United States have lent a hand from time to time, as well as acquaintances from Britain and other places. He has worked for other boat builders as well as joining the crews of other boats for a few races to help keep the cash flowing. In the next-to-last episode I watched he was in Britain and met some people who were involved in Tally-Ho's past. In the latest episode he stops in Georgia to help mill the Live Oak going into the reconstruction. The miller is Steve Cross, who comes across as a typical "dumb Southern Hick". The big secret is that Steve Cross is the only person left in America who still mills live oak.

He's up to Episode 57 or so, and the one I just watched is somewhere around #20. If this sort of thing interests you, I've put up a link to his YouTube channel.. If not, I understand. The episodes are in reverse order, with #1 at the bottom.
