If you like single player sci-fi stuff, the MASS EFFECT series, especially the first three... I'm in love with those games. Its like being the main character in a movie. Very heavy epic stuff. You can feel it as you play. Very well written and interlinked storyline (until the very last, and they've got a mod for that, fixing it.)
Just don't forget that you live here at Subsim, Sailor Steve. Its like mold. It grows on you and permeates. You can't scrub it off.
