Default Defending against Windows 10 bug "fixing" - and why it will not get better

https://michaelhorowitz.com/Defendin...s.Oct.2018.php

And this article argues that Microsoft has lost the competence to techncially "fix" Windows - because of the policy changes having disrupted the technical competence. The bilblical flood of broken updates and malware enforce don eople under the label of mandatory "patches" is a result of company policies about how to create Windows 10 in its making.

Both articles are support for my claim that Windows is a lost cause and that there is no hope that it will ever get "better". It will not because it cannot. Due to not symptomatic but structural problems that already start on the level of company organization.

I think Microsoft is a slowly retreating player, a huge but dying dinosaur kept alive not by technical argument and quality, but massive political lobbying for enforcing the use of its products in public administration and state services. Business by now does not trust MS anymore, does not trust the patching scheme and indeed has learned to hate MS for the mess it brings over the professional companies' IT branches time and again, in ever shorter intervalls. Over the past two years I learned that two of the companies where I jobbed at during earlier times of my life, have switched to Google and Linux.
