Still trying to figure out why the SH 4 TMO weather is so ridiculous. Changes for too often and seems to want to default to heavy seas. Weather is kind of Atlantic-esque.

I changed the weather intervals in campaign from the absurd 5 hours(meaning weather can change every 5 hours) in the patrol objectives missions as well as every other campaign file and seemed to help but still weather is wacky too often, wants to default to stormy seas. I'm finding myself having to hit control N way too often just to get the weather to remain "pacific like" . Time compression never goes above 1024, do not tab out of the sim, etc noticed that helps as well. Start of patrol have great weather, then its like game gets stuck in some weird cycle where wants to storm. Can really ruin immersion on a patrol as seems to time with contacts. Annoying.

I noticed in SH 3 forums there are hardcode fixes for SH 3 weather. I suppose we are not that lucky in SH 4 community?
