I listend to Tomita a lot when I was at school. Brought me into classical music, more than anything else, including my father or school courses in music. Thats why I value Tomita. In fact, all music classes at school were a lost case. You cannot generate love by lecturing theory. First must be the love, and then the interest caused by that makes you enduring the theory. Its a question of the correct sequence. My schools all did it the wrong way, and thats why they failed on practically everybody. Thats why today I fight so hard to learn piano (yes, I still do, but it has become very difficult: was Hänschen nicht lernt, lernt Hans nimmermehr...I learn. Very slwoly now. And fiogret a lot form the ealeier lessons. The memory is like a loop-tape in a telephone answering machine from the 90s.).
