I am mistaken about the loading screen. I just reinstalled SH4 and installed the basic OM v705
without using JSGME, just stuck the data folder into SH4. It loaded with the regular SH4 U-Boat Missions loading screen and everything works as it should.
I could swear I had an OM loading screen before. Maybe I should stop swearing.
