Default Creating a Submarine

I am starting to design a new research submarine for wreckage dives. I have decided upon 2 different styles:
>U-boat
>cigar type

I want it to be able to dive at least 1 km. this will be deeper than any amateur submarine before it. it will also, hopefully be larger than any amateur submarine too, at around 30m long.
Looking at naval submarines for inspiration I think a double skin hull will suffice for the huge pressures at such depths.

Of course there are no previous designs or drawings to subs of similar scale. it will also be unlike any sub before now as it will be lived on by its crew and be able to stay subsurface for a week at least.

The kind of facilities on board I wish to implement are:
>Bunks
>Heads
>Control room
>Lab
>Galley
>Engine room
>Hyperbaric dive chamber
>ROV bay

I am only in the preliminary design stage however before the end of the decade i plan on laying the keel. All I require from you folk is any considerations i should undertake or advice.

Thankyou
