I am playing the Monsun mod at the moment, just came across a large convoy of 30 ships, nearly all freighters and 3 escorts.
I had a field day, they scattered and I had a job getting them all, 2 made a run for it but I later caught them, I was like a sheep dog rounding up the sheep lol.

Edited: I went back in the saved game and another wave of the convoy appeared, total 40 freighters and 5 escorts.
