Welcome to Subsim Glennington.

As a few here have said, SH3 with GWX seems to be the gold standard with which everything else is compared. The good news is you can gave multiple installs of SH3 with GWX, living Silent Hunter and others on the same computer. This way, you can play them all and decide which you like best.

SH4 and 5 also have mods so you can try them all out as well. Enjoy your time here and of course, your simulations.
