Default T-34 vs Tiger BSOD crashing problem solved

Hi chaps,

I hope this might help somebody. I have been having problems with the game crashing to blue screen every time at more or less the same spot in single player mission 1. I suspected a sound problem as it seems to happen when my Tiger takes a hit.

I installed "Whocrashed" ( www.resplendence.com/whocrashed )

This produced the following report:

"On Mon 01/02/2010 19:39:57 your computer crashed This was likely caused by the following module: rtkhdaud.sys <http://www.google.com/search?q=rtkhdaud.sys>
Bugcheck code: 0x1000007F (0xD, 0x0, 0x0, 0x0)
Error: UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP_M <http://www.google.com/search?q=bugcheck+UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP_M>
Dump file: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini020110-02.dmp
file path: C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\rtkhdaud.sys
product: Realtek(r) High Definition Audio Function Driver (HRTF data Copyright 1994 by MIT Media Lab) <http://www.google.com/search?q=Realtek(r) High Definition Audio Function Driver (HRTF data Copyright 1994 by MIT Media Lab)>
company: Realtek Semiconductor Corp. <http://www.google.com/search?q=Realtek Semiconductor Corp.>

which confirmed my suspicipons. I followed the google link above
<http://www.google.com/search?q=rtkhdaud.sys>

I found this link http://r-1.ch/rtkhdaud.html by a guy who had hacked the driver file (rtkhdaud.sys) to solve his bsod gaming problems and followed his instructions to install the realtek v2.14 driver XP version (ftp://61.56.69.18/pc/audio/WDM_R214.exe) and unzip his rtkhdaud.sys in place of realtek's and this has solved my problems.I don't know if this will help anyone else, your mileage might vary, good luck.

Best Regards
