This is what's promised!!!!!

This Kursk release will be very fierce and intensive. The artillery can
strike a single tank from over 10 miles away. The anti-tank population will
be high and well dug in. Just those to weapon systems alone make it harder
then any previous missions thus far. I want this to be hard for the first
few miles toward Dubrova. Then after that pure hell to Pokovka. But the
taste of victory will be sweet. In addition a 10 to 1 - T34 to Tiger ratio
with minefields, tank trenches and huge barbwire obstacles and you will
have to deal with the deadly Soviet 122mm Mortars and of course the dreaded
Kathuysa Rockets.
But you will have room to move and try a range of approaches to your
objectives. With artillery support the battlefield will be in constant
flux, giving a randomness that will further add to the simulation effect.
With the "Simulation" aspect a consistent goal and in which must include
historical accuracy I however can only attempt to mimic actual events.
Many details on such an enormous battle is just not possible for me to do.
Therefore, I will try to compensate by doing my best and work all I can by
including new tanks vehicles and weapons structures etc. all the while making
this simulation playable and enjoyable.

The Kursk mission will start about two kilometers east of Tomarovka
as a German Tiger commander in the 2nd SS Panzer corp. 1st SS Panzer division.
Your overall objective is to fight your way to the small village of Pokovka
(not to be confused with Prokhorovka) about a 13 Km.(8mi)drive north in the
middle of the Soviet held southern front sector.

Your first objective however will be to secure Village C located northwest a
few miles from your staging area. Over looking Village C is a strongly defended
high ground position that must be taken prior to your second objective which
is the drive on Dubrova. You can choose two ways for this assault:
1). A frontal attack where you take your chance on the minefields have been cleared
or 2). Fallow the lowlands along the road trough Village C until an attack on
Dubrova can be made coming out of the east. Elements from the 11th Panzer Div.
will put pressure on Dubrova from the west. They [11th Pz] will be holding a
strong position east of the GrossDeutchland Div. as they drive on Cherkasskoye.
Once Dubrova is taken you will be re-supplied for your drive on Pokrovka.

If you are as excited about this kind of mission as I am this may be the
tank simulation for you. You can be sure that there is no arcade type action
here. But I do have to say this will not be for everyone, nor can it be and
remain true to my vision for this incredible Tank Sim.

A few of the new Soviet models created for Kursk are the KV-1 1942,KV-1s 1943,
SU152-1943 with the ML20 Gun,SU122-1942 with the M30 Gun, the T34 with
the Chtz (the forged, rounded) Turret and the T34 with the Hard Edge Turret
with commanders copula. And the early T34 a version with the 1942 (cast) Turret.

The Soviet artillery units modeled are the Soviet 152mm ML20, 122mm A19 the
RK27-76mm Howitzer and RK27-76mm Fieldgun, 122mm Mortar as well as the
Studebaker mounted M13 Katyusha (aka Stalin's Organ) rocket launcher.

Kursk land mass is 1296 square Kilometers. That is equal to 484 square miles.
You can fit 16 default maps inside of it's boarders, they [default maps]
are 81 square Kilometers or 31 square miles in size.

- ZeeWolf.

A ratio of 10 T34 to each Tiger????How many Tigers will be into play????If it's a Zug may be up to 12 Tigers???Against 120 Soviet T34s and KVs and SUs????Not to mention the field artillery/the Rockets/The mines and the AT guns ....

I am too scared to play! Please I want my money back!

I am too young to die....

Good luck Guys it's been nice talking to you but I suspect the forum will have lots of empty spots after the battle...
