I've played five and zero, and I kinda view it the other way. The Combat is very simplified, particularly for someone who's played modern PC flight sims, but the storyline makes up for it with the immersion factor being brilliant with the various radio chatter, and the FMVs in Five were wonderful.
For example, mission three, the 'Pearl Harbour' based one, brilliant music, some great radio chatter, it really adds to the immersion factor which is what, in my opinion, makes these games so great. I'm currently cursing the fact I don't have a 360 because Ace Combat Six looks great!!
