0040 - Reloading of tube I & II with G7a, K-a/Pi-G7H (contact fuse), until 0107h.

0400 - Three other escorts sighted. All together, four escorts: No.1 = Forward Sweeper; No.2 = Rear Stbd.; No.3 = behind the convoy; No.4 = Rear Port. No.2 and No.4 escorts go on search patterns in irregular intervals.

0615 - Moving to the port side of the convoy.

0656 - Decks awash. Preparing for surface attack. "Battle Stations!".
Shooter: Ltnt.z.S. & I.W.O. Emmo MARBACH.

0725 - Shot with Tube III, G7e, K-b (contact fuse), Running depth 5m, Torpedo speed 30kn.
Target: Standard Tanker in pos.2 of 3rd port-column.
Target distance 4500m, Target angle red86, Target speed 6kn, Firing angle 350°.
Own course 350°, own speed 2kn.

0726 - Shot with Tube IV, G7e, K-b (contact fuse), Running depth 4m, Torpedo speed 30kn.
Target: Standard Freighter in pos.2 of 1st port-column.

Tubes I, II and IV are hits; Tube II (Ato) understeeres.

The result of the attack cannot be observed, as the boat is being attacked by escort No.3 & 4 with surface weapons and is sustaining damage to the pressure hull in the area of the bow compartment.

0733 - "ALARM!" Boat is crash diving to T=50.

0734 - A-Meter, course 260°.

0736 - Bow compartment repaired. 30 Wabos. No further damages.

0845 - Turning in toward the convoy for surface attack.
Shooter: Ltnt.z.S. & I.W.O. Emmo MARBACH.

0859 - Shot with Tube I, G7e, K-b (contact fuse), Running depth 5m, Torpedo speed 30kn.
Target: Previously torpedoed Standard Tanker.
Target distance 2600m, Target angle red75, Target speed 5kn, Firing angle 355°.
Own course 350°, own speed 1.6kn.

0859 - Shot with Tube II, G7e, K-b (contact fuse), Running depth 5m, Torpedo speed 30kn.
Target: Previously torpedoed Large Tanker.
Target distance 2800m, Target angle red73, Target speed 4kn, Firing angle 007°.
Own course 350°, own speed 1.6kn.

Tube I is a hit! The tanker is sinking in Qu.1472BF.

Tube II doesn't detonate, because the tanker is turning away sharp to stbd.

0900 - Turning the boat around to get a shot off with the stern tubes. At a distance of 1300m to the closest ship, the boat is being detected and being fired upon by the No.3 escort. The shots are way off but the escort is coming up fast.

0904 - Boat is diving at a distance of 1500m to the fast approaching escort.

0909 - On A-Meter, 40 Wabos. No damages.
