I've learned to take low Amazon reviews with a grain of salt. The cheaper the item, the more people enjoy complaining about it.

As an example, suppose someone could write a review for a surprise birthday party on Amazon:

*- It seemed like a good idea when my friends jumped out of a closet but it gave me PTSD. The presents could have been better and the cake had an odd taste to it. Then rats jumped out of one of the gift boxes and bit me.

One thing I learned from reading Amazon reviews- there are a LOT of Screw Ups walking the planet.

Amazon could sell a single sheet of white paper and someone would complain that the instructions were too confusing, or there wasn't enough packaging, or it was the wrong shade of white, or it burst into flame when they tried to use it to repair their flame thrower.
