Is your SilentHunterIII folder inside of the C:\Program Files (x86)\ folder? You mention Ubisoft - is it a UPlay downloaded version of the game? Have you right-clicked on the "Sh3.exe" file to get the "Properties" screen to see which version Sh3.exe is, and to make certain it is write-enabled?
