Ooh, touchy touchy...

Note I said "buttons" and not "The Button"; you know, there more than one kinds of buttons in the White House, and in the government; when I made that remark, I was thinking more in the context of Trump being like a petulant child or, perhaps, a vindictive lunatic, and allowing someone like that to continue unattenuated in the possibility of malicious misuse of those powers and privileges; Trump still as, for all intents and purposes, a whole, wide, and very concerning, range of things he can heavy-handely screw up, perhaps just to show he can, or just to spite his imagined foes; his judgement, or lack thereof has always been an issue, even in his business life and his idiotic appearance at a rally to exhort his followers on Wednesday morning just prior to the riot is a prime example...

Take, for instance this: several people on this thread have stated or made allusion to the claim that Trump is a 'great president' because he hasn't gotten us into a shooting war, although it is well known that he has made rumblings in meetings with his advisers of initiating military action against North Korea and Iran, and according to one report, even some sort of military activity against China in an attempt to bolster his failed tariff policy; fortunately there were a few level headed adults in the room able to sway Trump from any action that would have disastrous implication for national security; but, now, there is Trump, grousing and pouting in the Oval Office, and he is looking for a quick way to make himself seem powerful and in charge as his pathetic con game comes to an inglorious end; well, history has shown that megalomaniacs in power have often resorted to costly and unnecessary military action to bolster their image; what makes you, or anyone, for that matter, seriously think that a desperate, unstable personality like Trump wouldn't, under any circumstances, if left to his own devises, be capable of doing something as rash as instigate a senseless military action just to salve his own ego, particularly when, at this point, he really has nothing to lose; and if you doubt that it could happen there's this:

A Very Trumpian Christmas Surprise? Signs Point to a Possible US Attack on Iran --

The only thing that has stopped Trump until now is adult supervision; what happens if a sulking petulant Trump decides to ignore the few smart, rational, people around and decides to go out in a blaze of "presidential glory"..?...

...and its not just the possibility of military action to be concerned about: Trump has shown a proclivity for exercising his powers, even powers he assumes but does not have, a la his mass of Executive Orders, and there is a lot of damage he could do in a couple of weeks to the economy, public safety, governmental stability, etc. There's an awful, awful lot of buttons that could be pushed in two weeks, not just "the Button"...

...admint it; Ya Canucks are secretly hoping the Lower 48 is going to implode just so you can take over and live in better climates without having to wage war...
