Sub Battle Simulator is probably fair to say, superseded by SS2 but it does have elements in it which SS2 didnt. I love SS2 absolutely even though i am terrible at it

This being said re SS2 it has some strange setups for the tactical battle element, what i mean is that i was doing a war patrol and came across a large target and so hit yes to play it, and the battle, put my sub at surface level stationary literally directly in front of a japanese taskforce and they shot me up..all i could do was crash dive, but the depth charges rained on me and i had no chance....

SBS at least has the patrols and battles all in the same setting so it is up to you to locate and approach the target from as far away as it is that you spot them.
