Microsoft were aware of this and released a patch, when I installed windows 7 on my machine it automatically downloaded the patch and installed via windows update, hopefully it fixed the problem.
My only sticking point so far is I cannot get my SH3 to bloody run because of the starforce protection being incompatible with Windows even after updating to the latest it will let me, and i'm running the 32 bit version of Windows 7
